Exhaust fans (also called ventilation fans) are indoor fixtures that are used to vent odours, smoke and humidity away from the room. They are often located in toilets, bathrooms and kitchens and are quite easy to install.
Tips on bathroom and kitchen exhaust fans:
Exhaust fans are the perfect solution to reduce humidity and hence mould.
You should install your exhaust fan to vent air outside of your home through the duct-work and never into your attic.
Ensure the exhaust fan joints are well sealed, otherwise the fan will not vent the air away properly.
Use smooth duct-work to optimize the venting of the air.
Limit the length and bends of the duct-work as much as possible.
Use insulated duct-work to prevent condensation on the duct.

LIGHTING QUOTE OF THE WEEK
Any room, whatever its size, looks better with many little pools of light rather than a general glare. I like intimate low light just where and when you need it.
